Premature Ejaculation Drug Medication

The first thing to be said is that there is a general misconception that Premature Ejaculation is an illness that has its remedy from the use of drugs or medications. This simply is wrong because premature ejaculation is a condition that is 95% to do with the psychology of the patient rather then a physiological problem. It is because of this that I must say that I am against the use of drugs to treat premature ejaculation. I believe that drugs can be used for short-term relieve of premature ejaculation however patients run the risk of getting addicted and reliant of the drugs for their sexual needs which is very dangerous.

The types of drugs that are commonly used to treat premature ejaculation are SSRIs (Selective Serotonin Re-uptake Inhibitors) such as Prozac. Although these type of drugs are more commonly used to treat depression, medical practitioners also use them to treat premature ejaculation as it has a well know side-effect of numbing the sexual drive and pleasure of the person taking it. The problem is that drugs like these can be taken for recreational purposes too and do have an addictive nature.

In addition to modern drugs such as those mentioned above there are also herbal or classical remedies which act very much in the same way. St. John’s Wort has been known to keep men lasting longer as it also works as a natural anti-depressant, functioning quite similarly to the SSRIs mentioned above. The downsides to natural remedies like these are definitely less but no matter how you look at it, dependence can happen and it can turn into a very troublesome problem later on in life.

Alternatively I would suggest other means of curing premature ejaculation. If the short-term cure is needed then I would suggest the highly effective multiple condom technique where 2 or even 3 layers of condoms are used to reduce the sensitivity so that the man can have a better chance of controlling himself when he is about to climax

A couple looking to solve the problem in the short-term can also opt to have the man “relieve” himself first before the fun begins. This is a sure-fire way of stopping the man climaxing before intercourse works very well however require that the female partner be sensitive to the man’s problems and understands his needs.

The best approach is to take the long-term solution. This involves understanding yourself more and also knowing your sexual points or more specifically your “point-of-no-return” state where you know you can’t come back from climaxing. You can define this moment by practicing yourself or with your partner while being mindful of the moment and virtually “bookmarking” it in your head. After you recognize this stage of transition you must act on it when it comes. You must slow down or even stop your intercourse so that the feeling subsides then you can continue as you were previously. You can continue this cycle back over and over again and with enough practice and determination you can actually last hours upon hours if necessary.
